Everything started from Justynka, who ended up with her little baby daughter in the Children’s Cardiology Ward in the Polish Mother’s Memorial Hospital – Research Institute managed by prof. Jadwiga Moll.
Touched by Justyna’s story and her suggestions concerning needs of the Ward, we decided on the aim of our next campaign. The Ward has a lot of needs, which are sometimes very simple, but people stop paying attention to them when there is no money.
There is no fridge or blankets for beds which would cover the sheets so they do not get dirty.
Lots of other things should also be bought and we hope to obtain them during other campaigns for the Ward. We decided to collect money in order to help children staying in the hospital and their parents who accompany them all the time.
Our campaign took place from October 15, 2010 to October 17, 2010 during Fashion Week Poland (Biała Fabryka ul. Piotrkowska 282).
We would like to thank the Fashion Week Poland organizer FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS – Moda Forte Grupa Kreatywna rented us some place for our stand FREE OF CHARGE in one of the best possible zones, that is at the entrance.
Irminka and Jacek – thank you VERY MUCH for your kindness. It is thanks to you that we were able to do this!
We would also like to apologise for some confusion with tape on Friday evening – we are still learning…

Our stand was nicely decorated with red hearts which symbolized the purpose of our campaign (and were prepared by Brygida).
We were visited by many distinguished guests, who managed to find some time for us between the shows, write words of support in our Memorial Book, buy our cups, plates or shirts (profits from the sales went to our campaign fund), and talk about activities of our Organization.
Guests, families with children, and young people entering the event put money into our box, bought our cups, and gave us warm words of support.
During the event we managed to collect PLN 1026.32.
For these funds, we bought colourful new bedspreads. Now children’s sheets and pillows will be clean and covered with soft blankets. Children will be able to play in their beds and they will not get their sheets dirty.
We also donated Christmas stockings from Marilyn with Santa Claus and sock shoes.
We managed to acquire a large fridge (BOSCH) from our sponsor, Irish Pub, as well.
It was really necessary for storing food for children (soup, juice, yogurt etc.).
