Jerzy Janowicz

Jerzy Janowicz (born 13 November 1990 in Lodz) is a Polish professional tennis player.
Runner-up in two Junior Grand Slam tournaments, Janowicz rose to fame on the pro circuit following his run to the finalof the 2012 Paris Masters, during which he defeated five top-20 players, including US Open champion Andy Murray and World No. 9 Janko Tipsarević. Janowicz to become the Polish No. 1 and crack the top 30, later reaching a career-high of World No. 14 in August 2013.In 2013 he was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit by Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski
